Geely Galaxy TT Ultra’s first pre-sale allocation sold out in 27 minutes, with all 999 cars claimed after orders opened in China on July 21.
The high-performance electric saloon is priced at 209,800 yuan (RM126,600). Geely Auto Sales general manager Fan Junyi said the company was coordinating production and would try to open a second pre-sale round as soon as possible.
The TT Ultra sits at the top of the Galaxy TT range. It uses an 800-volt electrical platform and two electric motors producing a combined 425 kW, giving it all-wheel drive and a claimed 0–100 kph time of 3.8 seconds. Top speed is 210kph.
Geely has not publicly named Xiaomi as a target, but the TT’s size, price and performance pits it against the Xiaomi SU7.
The SU7 Standard starts at 219,900 yuan (RM132,700), while the SU7 Max costs 303,900 yuan (RM183,400), and completes the 0–100kph run in as little as 3.08 seconds.
Geely is therefore offering near-SU7 Max acceleration for 10,100 yuan (RM6,100), less than SU7 Standard money.
That appears to be the TT Ultra’s main competitive pitch. Despite the shared suffix, it is not a rival for the far more powerful and expensive Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.
The Geely also uses aluminium double wishbones at the front, a reinforced five-link rear suspension and CCD-AI adaptive dampers. Its Qianli Haohan H7 driver-assistance package includes lidar.
A 75.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides a claimed 650 km China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle range (520 km WLTP estimate). The 6C charging system can add 400km of CLTC range in 11 minutes, according to Geely.
The TT is also the first production model to use Geely’s Thunder 16-in-1 Intelligent Electric Drive. The assembly combines 12 hardware functions, including the motors, inverters, reduction gear, onboard charger, vehicle controller, battery-management systems and thermal management, with four software functions covering energy, charging, vehicle motion and system health.
Geely said the complete unit weighs 75kg, removes more than 180 components and achieves 93.8% combined efficiency under the CLTC standard. Its description as the world’s first 16-in-1 electric drive remains a manufacturer claim.
Tromsø Fjord Blue paint, a Bordeaux Red cabin, darkened badges and wheels, red brake-calliper covers and carbon-fibre trim distinguish the Ultra. Geely has not said when the second allocation will open or how many cars it will include.
