iCaur Malaysia today launched the V23 Retro Edition, an official customisation kit designed to give the brand’s fully electric V23 a more classic, rugged look. The Retro Edition is priced from RM22,000.

To cash in on the upcoming Chinese New Year (CNY), iCaur Malaysia also announced a limited-time “CNY Special” price of RM18,888, capped at 88 sets.

The kit is available to existing V23 owners and new customers, with orders and installation handled through authorised iCaur dealerships nationwide.

In its announcement, iCaur Malaysia positions the Retro Edition as an aesthetic upgrade that builds on the V23’s boxy proportions and off-roader stance, while keeping the vehicle’s electric base.

It said the package is aimed at buyers who want a “classic expressive exterior”.

According to a V23 Retro brochure, the kit is intended to be highly visual, with exterior add-ons that push the old-school off-road theme.

The listed items include a roof frame with a ladder, left and right fenders, a front grille with a trim strip, front and rear chrome bumpers, wheel-arch pieces, and side steps.

iCaur Malaysia said the Retro Edition kit includes a 12-month warranty, while the integrated side steps gets an 18-month warranty.

The iCaur V23 is Malaysia’s first fully electric off-road capable SUV in the C-segment, offered in two variants: a 2WD model priced at RM119,870 and an iWD (Intelligent All-Wheel Drive) model priced at RM132,980. Both figures are on-the-road without insurance.

The vehicle is offered in six exterior colours — Off Road Orange, Khaki White, Army Green, Slate Silver, Gravel Grey and Carbon Black — paired with a black leather interior.

The V23 comes with a 7-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000km battery and drive unit warranty.

iCaur Malaysia also offers a battery replacement guarantee, stating it provides a one-for-one replacement if State of Health drops below 70% during the warranty period. A V2L cable and portable charger are included as standard.

iCaur is a Chery sub-brand.

Speaking at the launch event, iCaur Malaysia senior director Francis Chin said, “The iCaur V23 is more than just a vehicle; it’s a lifestyle statement, with the launch of the Retro Edition, we are giving our ‘Born to Play’ community more ways to express their individuality while enjoying the pinnacle of electric off-road versatility.”
