Chinese compact mobility vehicle maker Shenghao has launched the Milly E03 in China, a compact family mobility vehicle distinguished by an unpainted thermoplastic body designed to better withstand minor knocks and tight parking situations.
Unveiled on Sept 23 in Jinan, the E03 uses body panels that retain the material’s natural matte finish instead of going through a conventional paint process.
Shenghao said the material can absorb deformation and rebound under simulated everyday impacts, while its thermoplastic construction also allows for recycling and reuse.
The E03 is just over one metre wide and is powered by a 1.5 kW electric motor. It can accelerate from 0 to 30 kph in about eight seconds under specified test conditions and tackle gradients of up to 20% when fully loaded.
Its Lingxi Smart Control System 2.0 supports keyless unlocking, app-based vehicle locating, remote repositioning, digital key sharing and electronic geofencing.
Safety equipment includes a 360-degree camera system, collision warning, side-mirror overtaking alerts and an integrated dashcam. Shenghao also claims its SSS Rapid Stop system shortens braking distance by 1.07 metres and cuts the required braking force by 45%.
Inside, a 9.3-inch touchscreen supports smartphone projection for Apple, HarmonyOS and Android devices.
The Milly E03 is offered in Standard, Pro, Pro with built-in air conditioning and Ultra variants, with six exterior colours available.
Shenghao said cumulative sales of its family mobility vehicles, led by the Milly E01, are approaching 100,000 units.
