Aisin was among three companies that have jointly developed an eAxle system now installed in Isuzu’s inaugural battery electric D-Max EV, which began production in April 2025.
The other two are BluE Nexus Corporation and Denso Corporation.
The integrated solution features both front and rear eAxles coupled with a full-time 4WD system, ensuring constant power distribution to all wheels regardless of road conditions.
This architecture delivers the durability, load-bearing and towing capability expected of pickup trucks, alongside the linear acceleration, low noise and vibration properties inherent to electric vehicles.
As D-Max EV production ramps up, entry into key European markets will follow, with adaptations to suit regional requirements and customer preferences. The eAxle package is positioned to supply high-performance drive solutions globally as the model’s footprint expands.
BluE, Aisin and Denso said they would continue to leverage their respective specialist knowledge to advance electrification technologies and products.
Through BluE Nexus Corporation, which is an electrification system and electric drive module developer and vendor established in April 2019, the partners aim to support the growth of electric vehicles across all segments and contribute to carbon-neutral objectives worldwide.
