Chinese cryptocurrency exchange JuCoin has started the Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) for Ostra on its Mini-IPO platform, marking Southeast Asia’s first tokenisation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The launch opens today and will run for three days, offering 100 million Ostra tokens at 0.022 USDT each.
Investors may subscribe with a minimum of 100 USDT and a maximum of 5 000 USDT. Tokens will be settled on July 4 and generated on July 5, with 2 per cent distributed immediately and the remainder released over 50 days. If demand exceeds supply, allocation will be weighted among subscribers.
The Netherland’s Ostra operates modular charging stations across Indonesia and neighbouring markets, leveraging an exclusive partnership with PLN, the state electricity provider, and funding from Indonesian elites.
The token enables holders worldwide to share in revenue streams from charging operations, with all transactions recorded on JuChain’s blockchain to ensure transparency and traceability.
The IEO complements JuCoin’s broader strategy to tokenise real-world assets via its Mini-IPO platform.
The exchange offers end-to-end support for projects, including technical integration, marketing assistance and rigorous due diligence.
JuCoin, originally founded in 2013 and rebranded in 2024, now serves over 50 million users in more than 30 countries through its ecosystem, which comprises the JuChain Layer 1 blockchain, JuChat social platform, JuGame entertainment service, JuOne smartphones and JuCoin Labs innovation hub.
Southeast Asia’s electric vehicle market is poised for rapid expansion, with governments in Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam targeting millions of EVs by 2030.
However, the region faces a shortage of charging infrastructure.
Ostra’s modular stations — designed for rapid deployment at malls, business districts and transport hubs — aim to bridge this gap.
The tokenisation model reflects a growing trend in renewable energy and smart-city investments, democratising access to opportunities once reserved for institutional investors.
Comprehensive details on the Ostra IEO are available on the JuCoin Launchpad platform, with further analysis published on the JuCoin blog.
