Volvo has introduced its all-new, fully electric ES90, engineered to bridge the gap between sedan, fastback, and SUV.
The ES90 is now available for order in select European markets, with plans to extend its reach to further regions in the coming months and into 2026.
The vehicle, built on the SPA2 platform with the Volvo Cars Superset tech stack, enables continuous performance and safety upgrades via over-the-air updates throughout its lifespan.
Powered by a dual NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin configuration, the ES90 delivers an eightfold improvement in core computing capability over previous models.
It is the first Volvo to incorporate 800V technology, which facilitates faster charging and a longer range than any electric Volvo to date.
At 350 kW charging stations, the car can add 300km of range in 10 minutes and offers a WLTP range of up to 700km, while its aerodynamic design, with a drag coefficient of 0.25, is the lowest ever achieved by the brand.
Externally, the ES90 displays a confident stance with a raised ride height, granting the driver a commanding view of the road. It features Volvo’s signature Thor’s Hammer headlight design alongside distinctive C-shaped LED rear lamps.
Buyers have a choice of seven exterior colours and wheel options ranging from 20 to 22 inches.
Practicality is also a focus, with a spacious rear hatch offering 424 litres of boot capacity, extendable to 733 litres by folding the three individual rear seats, plus a 22-litre front storage compartment for charging cables.
Inside, the ES90 is designed for premium comfort and functionality, reflecting traditional Scandinavian design principles.
The 3.1-metre wheelbase delivers generous rear legroom, while a panoramic roof with adjustable UV protection enhances the cabin’s airy ambience.
A four-zone climate control system, complete with an advanced air purifier capable of filtering out 95 per cent of PM 2.5 particulates and nearly all common allergens, ensures a comfortable environment for all occupants. A high-end Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 25 speakers and Dolby Atmos spatial audio elevates the in-car experience.
The vehicle’s infotainment system, powered by the Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, integrates Google services for navigation and voice assistance across a 9-inch driver display, head-up display, and a 14.5-inch central screen. Additionally, a 360-degree camera with a 3D view assists drivers in navigating tight parking spaces.
