BYD has been dropping the Atto 3 price like crazy – much to the dismay of early buyers of the compact SUV.
It went from RM167,800 in 2022 to RM150,430 in 2024 and RM124,500 in 2025 (all prices on-the-road without insurance).
That’s over RM43,000 price cuts since its 2022 launch.
The price war is BYD’s attempt to claw back market share from newly launched Proton e.MAS 7, which is a few hundred dollars cheaper at RM123,800.
For 2025, the Atto 3 is being sold as the Atto 3 Ultra.
BYD Sime Motors has also introduced an eight-year free service package, supported by a comprehensive warranty, to ensure a hassle-free ownership experience across its network of 21 BYD 3S centres nationwide.
Over 6,300 units of the Atto 3 have been sold locally and more than 950,000 globally.
The Atto 3 boasts a safe Blade Battery technology and exceptionally low high-voltage battery warranty claims of less than 0.3%. Data from long-term drivers indicate the model’s durability, with many surpassing 80,000 km while maintaining consistent battery health.
In addition to the name change, Sime Motors has launched an early bird promotion for the first 1,000 buyers.
The Ultra Launch Package offers a RM5,000 cash rebate, an eight-year service package, a free 7kW wall charger, complimentary accessories including a V2L adaptor and Type 2 cable, and unlimited internet for two years.
