Volvo Car Malaysia has announced the opening of bookings for the locally assembled (CKD) EX30, following the sold-out success of its fully imported (CBU) units launched in September 2024.

The Model Year 2025 EX30 will be available in two variants: Ultra, starting at RM208,888, and Ultra Twin Performance, priced from RM228,888. There is no change in prices from the CBU versions.

Deliveries are set to begin in the second week of January 2025. Customers can choose from three colours: Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, and Crystal White.

The launched batch were offered in three versions including the entry level Plus. Obviously, the Plus has been canned at the CKD stage. It’s a truism that Malaysian customers tend to go for the higher variants if a model is offered in various grades.

The EX30 is packed with advanced technology, including Google Built-in for seamless controls, enhanced Pilot Assist with semi-autonomous features, a 360° camera system, and Park Pilot Assist. It also features a premium Harman Kardon soundbar system for superior audio quality.

Performance-wise, the Ultra variant is powered by a single motor delivering 272 PS and 343 Nm of torque, reaching 0-100kph in 5.3 seconds.

The Ultra Twin Performance variant offers dual motors with 428 PS and 543 Nm, achieving 0-100kph in 3.6 seconds.

Both variants come equipped with a 69 kWh NMC battery, offering a driving range of up to 476 km (WLTP) for the single motor and 450 km for the twin motor. The battery supports 175 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in 28 minutes.

Volvo Car Malaysia offers extensive after-sales support, including a Volvo Car Service Plan covering essential maintenance for up to five years or 100,000 km.

A 5-year unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty and an 8-year/160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty provide added peace of mind. Customers also receive 24-hour roadside assistance for five years.

Bookings can be made online at Volvo’s website or at authorised showrooms.
