It’s trendy for luxury car makers to put their name to exclusive residential projects. It’s a way to broaden the appeal of the brands beyond cars.
Bentley, Aston Martin and Bugatti have done it. Porsche is also no stranger to the habit.
Porsche’s latest foray in this sphere is a proposed luxury condo in Bangkok and its first in Asia. This is Porsche’s third such project, as it already has one one in Miami and Stuttgart.
The new tower will be built by Thai developer Ananda Development.
Catering to ultra-high net-worth individuals, the Porsche Design Tower Bangkok will have 22 exclusive duplex and quadplex “Sky Villas” ranging from 525 to 1,135 square metres, with an average price of US$15 million and up to US$40 million. Construction will start next year and is set to be completed at the end of 2028.
A key highlight of the building is the “Passion Spaces”—customisable private garages allowing residents to showcase their car collections in a private setting. These garages, accessible via a spiral ramp called “The Loop,” can serve as venues for social gatherings and events.
The 21-storey tower’s façade, inspired by the Porsche 911 Targa’s “Kinetic Move” roof mechanism, features a fully automated terrace door system that blends indoor and outdoor living.
Another design element, the “X-Frame,” mimics the exoskeleton structure of Porsche’s Mission R concept car, providing a unique entryway experience.
At the top of the 95-metre tower, “The Crown” light installation, inspired by Porsche sportscar lighting, marks the building as a new landmark in Bangkok’s skyline.
Inside, the tower boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, a fitness centre, a spa, social and business lounges, and luxury kitchens with high-end appliances and automated features.
