The revived Lancia brand has appointed Gianni Colonello as its design chief.
Colonello will contribute to the company’s “Renaissance Plan” with the objective of making it a respected and credible premium brand in Europe.
He will work closely with the Stellantis Head of European Brands Design, Jean Pierre Ploue, and with Lancia CEO Luca Napolitano.
He started his professional career in Fiat Auto in 2002, working for several brands and holding various roles of increasing responsibility.
The architecture graduate was the chief interior designer for Maserati from 2012 to 2021.
From 2021 to 2024, he was in charge of interior design for Lancia, playing a key role in defining the new design language of the brand, leading the creation of the interiors of the new Ypsilon, of the Lancia Pu+Ra HPE concept, and the full Lancia brand line up.
