Pro-Net has opened order books for the smart #5 electric SUV with a RM2,000 booking fee through the brand’s Hello app or official website.
The Geely-backed marque will soon launch two variants initially with pricing details yet to be announced. They are Premium and Brabus; a third Pro variant will come later.
The Premium variant features rear-wheel drive with 358 bhp and achieves 590km of WLTP range from its 100kWh battery.
An 800-volt architecture enables 400kW DC fast charging, delivering 10–80 per cent charge in 15 minutes. The variant completes the century sprint in 6.5 seconds.
The performance-focused Brabus edition employs dual motors producing 646 bhp and 710 Nm of torque, cutting the 0–100kph time to 3.8 seconds.
Range drops slightly to 540km despite sharing the Premium’s battery pack. Brabus-specific touches include 21-inch Monoblock Z alloys, red brake callipers and Dinamica microfibre trim.
Both variants carry identical technology suites: twin 13-inch OLED displays, a 25.6-inch augmented reality head-up display, and a Sennheiser 20-speaker Dolby Atmos system. The ChatGPT-powered LEO assistant handles voice commands.
At 4,705mm long with a 2,900mm wheelbase, the #5 becomes smart’s largest model, eclipsing the #3 compact crossover.
The cabin features Nappa leather upholstery, a panoramic roof and an onboard chiller.
Safety equipment includes seven airbags, Smart Pilot Assist with Highway Pilot Assist, and Euro NCAP’s five-star rating. Nine drive modes span road and off-road terrain.
The #5 competes against the Zeekr 7X, BYD Sealion 7 and Tesla Model Y in Malaysia’s growing premium electric SUV segment.
