Porsche has added a new range-topper to its all-electric SUV line-up with the Macan GTS, the first time the storied badge has appeared on a battery model.
Positioned as the fifth variant of the Macan Electric, the GTS brings a clear focus on driver involvement alongside significant hardware upgrades.
Headline numbers are punchy. With overboost engaged via Launch Control, the dual-motor GTS delivers up to 420 kW (571 PS) and 955 Nm, good for 0–100kph in 3.8 seconds and 0–200kph in 13.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250kph.
Porsche quotes a combined WLTP range of up to 586km from a 100 kWh battery. At a suitable high-power DC charger the pack can charge from 10 to 80% in a claimed 21 minutes, with a peak intake of 270kW.
Much of the character comes from the rear axle. As in the Macan Turbo, the GTS uses the model line’s most powerful rear motor, paired with a 900-amp silicon-carbide pulse inverter and a transmission with a 9.0:1 ratio designed to handle sustained torque loads. System output is 380 kW (516 PS) in regular driving, rising to 420 kW (571 PS) in overboost.
Chassis tuning leans towards agility. Standard equipment includes electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus with an electronically controlled rear differential lock mounted directly behind the rear motor to support the GTS’s 48:52 rear-biased weight distribution.
Sports air suspension with level control and Porsche Active Suspension Management is standard, riding 10 mm lower than other Macan Electric variants.
Model-specific damper and anti-roll bar settings aim to sharpen turn-in and mid-corner stability, while rear-axle steering is optional.
The Sport Chrono Package is fitted, now with a track mode adapted from the Taycan that increases battery cooling to maintain power under sustained load.
Porsche said the GTS also gets a deeper acoustic profile through Porsche Electric Sport Sound, offering two GTS-specific sound maps in Sport and Sport Plus.
The styling plays to tradition.
Black exterior accents mark out the GTS across the front apron, side blades and rear diffuser, complemented by tinted Matrix LED headlights and taillights.
Distinctive side skirts widen towards the rear. Twenty-one-inch Macan Design wheels in Anthracite Grey are standard, with 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels available.
Three colours headline the launch: Crayon returns, Carmine Red joins as a GTS signature, and Lugano Blue debuts on the Macan.
Beyond the regular palette, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Paint to Sample offers nearly 60 additional shades. From early 2026, a new Sport Design Package will roll out across the Macan range; the GTS receives it first and as standard with GTS-specific details.
Inside, the GTS treatment brings extended Race-Tex upholstery with black smooth-leather elements.
A heated multifunction GT sports steering wheel, Race-Tex door and dash trims, and 18-way adaptive sports seats feature as standard. An optional GTS Interior Package ties exterior and interior with colour-matched stitching, seatbelts and “GTS” lettering in Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo or Lugano Blue, and adds a Carbon Interior Package for additional trim pieces.
The digital cockpit reflects the vehicle’s exterior colour in its 3D visualisation, while Sport Chrono functions such as lap timing and telemetry are accessible via a central-display app.
The GTS also benefits from the latest Macan updates including Porsche Digital Key, enhanced parking assistance, an AI-supported Voice Pilot, expanded in-car gaming and an increased maximum towing capacity of 2,500kg.
Pricing and market on-sale dates will be announced region by region.
