Renault has a new chief executive officer.
François Provost is promoted to the position for a four-year term with effect from tomorrow.
The Renault Group board of directors also named him as a director of both Renault S.A. and Renault s.a.s.
Provost succeeds Luca de Meo, who departed to lead Kering, the parent company of Gucci.
Provost was previously chief procurement, partnerships and public affairs officer at the Renault Group.
He has accumulated 23 years of service within the company across operational and strategic roles in multiple markets.
The board cited his extensive international experience, deep sector knowledge and strategic vision as vital to advancing Renault’s global development, leveraging partnerships to enhance strategic agility and upholding high performance standards in full alignment with the company’s values.
Chairman Jean-Dominique Senard said he was confident that Provost would be able to guide Renault through a rapidly evolving industry, complete and launch its next strategic plan and sustain the group’s momentum.
