Zeekr Malaysia has introduced the 7X Black Nova, a limited-run styling edition based on the 7X AWD Performance, priced at RM235,000 and capped at 200 units nationwide.
The changes are visual rather than mechanical. Zeekr currently lists the regular 7X at RM182,800 for the RWD Standard, RM193,800 for the RWD Long Range and RM230,800 for the AWD Performance.
The Black Nova therefore costs RM4,200 more than the regular AWD Performance. No drivetrain upgrade is stated.
Black Nova cars get an all-black exterior, new 20-inch black alloy wheels and a Black & Grey two-tone interior. Zeekr said this is the first time the interior colour combination has been offered on the 7X in Malaysia.
Underneath, it remains a 7X AWD Performance. The dual-motor powertrain produces 475 kW (646 PS), with 0-100kph taking a claimed 3.8 seconds. Its 800-volt electrical architecture supports a 10-80% DC fast charge in as little as 16 minutes under Zeekr’s stated conditions.
The WLTP range is 543km, just as with the regular AWD Performance version.
The equipment list is otherwise carried over from the AWD Performance. It includes the Stargate integrated smart light curtain, Zeekr’s driver-assistance systems, 720-degree safety system, Magic Carpet suspension, Zeekr Sound Pro audio, frameless automatic doors and Nappa leather seats. The front seats also have ventilation and massage functions.
The Black Nova follows a strong first year for the 7X in Malaysia. Zeekr said 3,235 units have been delivered since the model arrived, making it the company’s best-selling model locally.
The company also describes the 7X as Malaysia’s best-selling premium electric SUV.
Those claims sit alongside Zeekr Malaysia’s broader push in the premium EV market.
General manager Eddy Lu said the 7X had been a major contributor to the brand reaching 5,000 vehicle deliveries in Malaysia and to its claim of being the country’s No. 1 premium EV brand.
Lu said the Black Nova is intended to give buyers a more exclusive-looking version of the existing model without changing the performance, technology or ownership package that comes with the AWD Performance.
The RM235,000 price includes a five-year/150,000km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000km warranty for the high-voltage battery and related components. Buyers also receive one year of complimentary connected services, with 6GB of internet data per month.
Bookings are being taken through authorised Zeekr showrooms.
