Volvo electric car owners in Europe would be able to use more than 20,000 Tesla Supercharger stations through the Volvo Cars app from the fourth quarter of 2026.
The move covers 29 European countries, with most of the chargers located in key markets such as Germany, France, Norway, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Spain.
Volvo said the added access would sit inside its own app, keeping charging, location search and payment within one system.
The update applies to the EX30, EX40, EC40, EX60, EX90 and ES90. Volvo said its drivers already had access to more than three million charging points globally through the app, including 1.2 million in Europe and 120,000 in North America.
The North American figure includes Tesla Superchargers.
Volvo also plans to move selected models in Japan and South Korea to the North American Charging System (NACS/SAE J3400) by 2029.
Exact model timing has not been released yet. For those markets, the aim is still easier access to Tesla’s charging network without adding another layer of charging confusion.
For Volvo owners, it means more fast chargers in the same app, with less fuss when it is time to plug in.
