Malaysia’s leading automotive and mobility showcase will return from June 12 to 21 with a stronger public-facing pitch this year: more than 60 cars available for test drives.

That makes the 11th edition of the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS 2026) more than a static new-car display. Visitors will be able to see the latest models, compare brands in one place and, more usefully, get behind the wheel during the 10-day event.

The show will cover seven halls at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) in Kuala Lumpur, with close to 30,000 sq m of gross exhibition space. It will continue under the “Beyond Mobility” theme, with organisers positioning the event as a broader look at electrification, smart mobility and sustainable transport.

Confirmed vehicle brands include Dongfeng, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jetour, Kia, Maxus, Mazda, MG Motor, Nissan, Perodua, Proton, Proton e.MAS, smart, Toyota, Wuling, XPeng and Zeekr. Accessories and services brands will also be spread across the halls.

The test-drive programme is likely to be one of the bigger draws, especially with many Malaysians still weighing up hybrids, EVs and newer Chinese brands. For buyers, it is a chance to sample several cars without bouncing from showroom to showroom.

KLIMS 2026 will also introduce Urban Play, a custom-built obstacle course meant to show vehicle control, precision and power.

Other activities include a DJ Playground, Modified Car Battle, race car and flight simulator challenges, remote-control car tracks and participation from more than 200 car-club vehicles.

The final weekend will bring a broader lifestyle element through a collaboration with Riuh, a Malaysian creative platform known for pop-up markets, workshops, showcases and live performances.

Planned acts and activities include performances by FUGO, Kyoto Protocol, Adrian Danial, TY:DEL, Voice of Percussion and Siluman Production, along with a live recording of The Overdrive Session Automotive Podcast and a Hobbyist Hub.

Admission is free from Monday to Thursday for all categories. On Fridays, weekends and public holidays, adult tickets are priced at RM30. Senior citizens, OKU visitors and students with ID pay RM15, while children below 12 enter free. A RM80 Unlimited Access Pass covers entry throughout the show period, while a five-person bundle is priced at RM100.

KLIMS 2026 is organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia. It is held with strategic partners Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii) and Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida), both under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia (Miti).

Organisers are targeting more than 200,000 visitors this year, up from the 183,221 visitors recorded at KLIMS 2024. By Malaysian standards, that is a healthy target, although KLIMS remains smaller than the region’s biggest motor shows.

Indonesia’s Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show draws close to half a million visitors per edition. Thailand is in a different league altogether: the Bangkok International Motor Show recorded 1,798,312 visitors in March 2026, almost nine times KLIMS’ 2026 target.
