Themed “Beyond Mobility,” the event showcased advancements in sustainability and electrification, with nearly 70 automotive and mobility brands participating.

Exhibitors included major names like Toyota, Honda, Proton, Nissan, Mazda, MG Motor, and Kia. Toyota unveiled models such as the FT-3e and Hilux FCEV, while Honda presented its Prelude Concept and Motocompacto electric scooter.

Nissan highlighted its futuristic Hyper Tourer. Local brand Perodua showcased its EV concept, eMO-II, and the Ativa Fuze, underscoring Malaysia’s automotive potential.

The show also featured the Best Booth Design Awards. In the OEM category for large booths, UMW Toyota Motor secured first place, followed by Proton and Perodua. Stellantis Malaysia won the smaller OEM category, while PECCA Leather topped the non-OEM category.

Exciting prizes included a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited as the grand prize and a Perodua Axia for the first prize, awarded during an Appreciation High-tea hosted by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA).

Azzarain Abdul Aziz drove home with a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited, while Leaw Xiu Qi won a Perodua Axia.

The event also celebrated MG’s 100th anniversary.

KLIMS 2024 highlighted Malaysia’s growing presence in global mobility innovation. “This milestone reaffirms our position as a key player in the global mobility ecosystem,” said MAA president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain. Sponsors such as UMW Toyota, Perodua, and Affin Bank played significant roles in the event’s success.

KLIMS 2024 showcased groundbreaking technologies and fostered collaboration, setting a strong precedent for future editions. Show Manager Richard Teo emphasized its impact on positioning Malaysia as a hub for mobility innovation and sustainability.
