Škoda has given us the first look inside the Epiq, its cheapest electric SUV, ahead of the car’s world premiere in Zurich on May 19.
The dash-forward layout ditches a traditional dashboard for a horizontal arrangement — wider and flatter, which should make the cabin feel less cramped.
If the sketches are anything to go by, it’s sparse rather than stark.
Ambient lighting takes the edge off, and a free-standing centre console packs in wireless charging. There’s also an open storage bin up front, because Škoda knows its buyers actually use their cars.
Sustainable materials feature inside too, though the brand is keeping the finer details back for now. No surprises there.
This is the first Škoda production car to run the full Modern Solid design rulebook — inside and out — and it slots into VW Group’s European Urban Car Family alongside the upcoming VW ID. Polo and Cupra Raval.
For Škoda, the Epiq is central to doubling its electric line-up this year. We’ll know the full picture on May 19.
