Kia is trying to turn the dashboard into part of the matchday ritual.

The carmaker said it has added 16 more FIFA World Cup 2026 display themes for vehicles fitted with its ccNC (Connected Car Navigation Cockpit) infotainment system, taking the full set to 17 including the global theme released in December 2025.

The free themes are offered through the Kia Connect Store for selected ccNC-equipped vehicles in the US, Europe and South Korea, with access running until Aug 31. In Europe, availability starts on March 31.

Kia’s ccNC system currently appears on newer or updated models such as the EV9, EV6, Sorento, Sportage, K4, K5, Carnival, EV3 and Telluride, although exact availability depends on market and trim.

What Kia is doing is to encourage owners to dress up the instrument and infotainment displays in team colours and themed graphics, with custom navigation visuals and start-up and shut-down animations included. Kia is selling it as added personalisation, but for football fans, it is hard to complain about a free themed download.

The new batch covers 15 national teams and host nations, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, England, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Argentina and Australia.

There is also a “49th Team” theme tied to Kia’s OMBC Cup programme, which spotlights youth players chosen as Official Match Ball Carriers for the tournament ceremony.

Kia has linked the rollout to its “Inspiration Connects Us All” campaign ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which runs from June 11 to July 19. The company has also released a promotional film around the Connect Store themes, using the new Kia Seltos as the backdrop.

It does not change how the car drives. This is mostly a bit of visual fun for fans and a low-cost way for Kia to keep owners interacting with the car after purchase. In cabins now dominated by screens, that is a sensible use of the hardware.

Kia has been a FIFA partner since 2007 and, together with Hyundai, renewed that relationship through 2030 as an official mobility partner. That wider deal covers transport support and future mobility services at FIFA events.
