Stellantis has unveiled six concept cars ahead of the Paris Motor Show, led by an electric reinterpretation of the Citroën 2 CV designed to make affordable motoring accessible to European buyers.
The Citroën 2 CV Concept revives the philosophy of the original small car with a fully electric drivetrain, simplified construction and a proposed price of €15,000 (RM68,600).
Stellantis said the vehicle would be made in Europe, although it has yet to confirm production plans, battery specifications or driving range.
The concept is intended to show how a low-cost EV could provide practical everyday transport without unnecessary complexity.
Another electrified highlight is the Peugeot RCZ Vision, a performance-oriented electric concept developed around an architecture based on the STLA One platform.
It features steer-by-wire technology, eliminating the conventional mechanical connection between the steering wheel and road wheels.
The concept also introduces Peugeot’s next-generation i-Cockpit, incorporating the Hypersquare steering interface.
Stellantis has not disclosed motor output, battery capacity or acceleration figures.
The remaining four concepts cover different vehicle segments and design approaches.
The Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso explores future performance models using multi-energy architectures, including the possibility of a 2.9-litre V6 full-hybrid powertrain.
The proposed configuration combines Q4 all-wheel drive, a torque-converter transmission and a carbon-fibre driveshaft.
Fiat’s Multiplay combines SUV comfort with pick-up versatility through a configurable vehicle architecture inspired by the original Multipla.
The DS F3VER explores future styling and interior personalisation for DS Automobiles, while the Opel STX previews the brand’s next generation of estate-car design.
The Opel concept features a revised Vizor front-end design, animated lighting elements and a distinctive rear profile.
All six vehicles were presented at Stellantis’ “The Night Before” event in Paris on Oct 11.
They form part of a wider display at the Paris Motor Show, running from Oct 12 to 18, where Stellantis is exhibiting more than 60 vehicles across eight brands, including Leapmotor.
Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa said the concepts reflected the company’s FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, which combines new technologies with greater product choice.
The group plans to introduce more than 50 products in Europe by 2030.
