Polestar has updated the Polestar 4, giving its electric coupé-SUV revised suspension, a lower carbon footprint and a new trim structure.
Order books are open for the rear motor and dual motor versions.
European pricing varies by market and Polestar has not quoted a single euro starting price in its MY27 announcement. In the UK, the updated Polestar 4 starts from £56,750 (RM308,000). In Germany, the Rear Motor version is listed from €60,900 (RM287,000), while the Netherlands starts lower at €57,900 (RM272,000).
The main mechanical change sits underneath. Rear motor and Dual motor versions get a recalibrated chassis with high-capacity passive dampers, revised springs and anti-roll bars, plus polyurethane rebound stops in place of the previous internal rebound coil springs.
Polestar said the steering has also been sharpened. The aim is a calmer, more settled ride, without taking too much edge out of the car’s handling.
The Polestar 4 remains the quickest SUV in the brand’s current line-up. In Dual motor form, it does 0-100kph in 3.8 seconds.
Polestar said UK customer cars now carry a cradle-to-gate carbon footprint of 19.4 tonnes of CO2e for the Rear motor and 20.3 tonnes for the Dual motor.
Cradle-to-gate covers emissions from raw material extraction to the point the car reaches the customer, not lifetime use.
The Dual motor figure has been cut by 1.1 tonnes of CO2e since launch.
Polestar has also cleaned up the range. The new line-up is Rear motor, Dual motor and Dual motor with Performance pack.
Small trim details separate them, including different seatbelt and rotary control finishes, with Swedish gold used more heavily on the Performance pack car.
