Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric revealed with up to 1,156PS

Porsche has added a Coupe body style to the all-electric Cayenne range, giving its large electric SUV a lower roofline, better aerodynamics and up to 1,156PS/1,140hp in its most powerful form.

The new Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric made its world premiere at Auto China 2026 in Beijing, where Porsche showed it as a sportier alternative to the regular Cayenne Electric SUV.

The overall pitch is familiar Porsche territory: keep the SUV size and practicality, but add a roofline inspired by the 911’s so-called “flyline”.

The design changes are more than cosmetic. Porsche says the Coupe has its own windscreen and is different from the A-pillar rearwards.

The lower roof helps cut drag to 0.23, compared with 0.25 for the SUV. Depending on variant, that improves WLTP range by up to 18km, with the best version rated at up to 669km.

It is still a big car. The Cayenne Coupe Electric measures 4,985mm long and 1,980mm wide, while its highest point is 1,650mm, or 24mm lower than the SUV.

Boot space is quoted from 534 litres to 1,347 litres, with a further 90 litres available in the front luggage compartment. A towbar is available, with towing capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes.

Three versions will be offered from launch.

The base Cayenne Coupe Electric makes 408PS, or 442PS with Launch Control, and does 0-100kph in 4.8 seconds. The Cayenne S Coupe Electric makes 544PS, or 666PS with Launch Control, cutting the sprint to 3.8 seconds. At the top sits the Cayenne Turbo Coupe Electric, with 857PS, or 1,156PS on overboost with Launch Control. It reaches 100kph in 2.5 seconds and tops out at 260kph.

The chassis follows the SUV, with adaptive air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management as standard.

Porsche Active Ride is optional on the S and Turbo, while rear-axle steering can be fitted to all versions. DC fast charging is rated at up to 390kW, or up to 400kW under specific conditions, with AC charging at 11kW as standard and 22kW optional.

Inside, the Coupe gets Porsche’s latest digital cabin layout, including a digital instrument cluster, central Flow Display, optional passenger display and optional augmented-reality head-up display.

The panoramic glass roof can also be specified with Variable Light Control, which uses switchable liquid crystal film.

For those who want it to look more aggressive, Porsche offers a Coupe-specific Lightweight Sport package with a carbon roof, carbon trim, 22-inch wheels and high-performance tyres. Depending on variant, it trims weight by up to 17.6kg
