Leapmotor has launched the A10 in China, with prices starting at 65,800 yuan (RM37,947) and rising to 86,800 yuan (RM50,058) across four variants.

The compact electric SUV, to be marketed as B03X overseas, is more than a domestic-market addition, as Stellantis has already positioned it as a global model built on Leapmotor’s new A-platform architecture.

The A10 first appeared at the Guangzhou motor show late last year. Stellantis later described it as the first model on the new platform, with overseas markets already in view. That gives this China launch a wider role than usual.

In local-market form, the A10 measures 4,270mm long, 1,810mm wide and 1,635mm tall, with a 2,605mm wheelbase.

Chinese reports said it rides on 18-inch wheels and comes in six exterior colours. Official material points to a compact SUV aimed at buyers who still want a roomy cabin and plenty of in-car tech.

Inside, the A10 uses an 8.88-inch instrument display and a 14.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. Chinese reports also said it uses a Qualcomm SA8295 cockpit chip with Qwen AI integration.

Other cabin details include a rail below the centre screen for accessories, plus heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

Power comes from a single motor in either 70kW or 90kW form, paired with 39.8kWh or 53kWh battery packs. Claimed CLTC range stands at 403km or 505km, depending on variant. DC charging from 30% to 80% is said to take 16 minutes.

Higher-end versions add lidar and a Qualcomm SA8650 chip to support functions such as city and highway navigation assist, along with memory parking.

Leapmotor is pitching the A10 as a compact SUV with more equipment than its sticker price might suggest.
