Hydrexia Pty Ltd said it had secured an order to supply Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Ltd (TMCA) with relocatable hydrogen refuelling stations to support hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles in Australia.

Hydrexia described the deal as covering the supply, operation and maintenance of the refuelling equipment.

It said the agreement built on earlier work with Toyota and followed deployments of refuelling stations to UMW Toyota in Malaysia and Toyota Philippines.

“Australian consumers will continue to benefit from a wider choice of vehicles and technologies, which requires ongoing market leadership in driving this change and TMCA has shown its commitment to making this a reality,” said Hydrexia Pty Ltd managing director Ashley Mills.

Hydrexia said it had expanded operations across Southeast Asia, Europe, the US and Australia, and called the project another step in its Australian hydrogen push over the past 12 months.

Hydrexia Holding Limited, based in China, said it provides hydrogen technology for production, storage, transportation and end-use applications.
