Chery Malaysia is rolling out a Chinese New Year sales push with cash rebates of up to RM16,888 across its line-up, with extra savings for selected models ordered in red.
The limited-time “New Year Prosperity Deal” runs until Feb 28, and is pitched as a broad incentive programme rather than a single-model campaign.
At the top of the range, the Tiggo 8 Pro carries a rebate of up to RM16,888, giving Chery’s flagship SUV its biggest discount in the promotion.
Chery’s urban-focused Tiggo Cross duo also gets support. The Tiggo Cross HEV and Tiggo Cross Turbo come with rebates of up to RM6,888, according to the company.
For buyers shopping in the mid-size family SUV space, Chery is offering the Tiggo 7 Pro with savings of RM11,888.
The plug-in hybrids are included too. Chery is offering RM6,888 rebates for both the Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV, which are the brand’s electrified options in Malaysia.
On top of the rebates, Chery said customers who buy selected models finished in red will receive an additional RM1,000 rebate, tapping into the festive association of red with luck and celebration.
Chery is also using the campaign to reiterate its long battery coverage for PHEV owners.
The company provides a complimentary 10-year or 200,000km battery warranty for all PHEV models, covering the battery pack, power motor and control unit. The coverage applies to both new purchases and existing Tiggo 7 PHEV and Tiggo 8 PHEV owners.
Chery said the offers are available nationwide for the duration of the promotion, subject to model eligibility and campaign terms.
