Nissan distributor Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has confirmed that deliveries of the all-new Nissan Kicks e-Power will start in the coming weeks.

Customers who have pre-booked the compact SUV will soon experience its innovative e-POWER technology, which combines an electric motor-driven system with a petrol engine acting as a generator, eliminating the need for external charging.

Launched last month at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS), the Kicks e-Power represents a major milestone in Nissan’s electrification efforts in Malaysia.

With a fuel efficiency rating of 21.7 km/l and a range of up to 900km per tank, the vehicle offers the benefits of an electric driving experience without the infrastructure challenges of EV charging.

The Kicks e-Power is powered by a second-generation e-Power system, delivering 280Nm of torque for instant acceleration. Emissions are reduced by up to 20% compared to internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, making it a sustainable choice for eco-conscious drivers.

Safety remains a top priority, with the Kicks e-Power earning a 5-star Asean NCAP safety rating.

It comes equipped with seven airbags and advanced driver assistance features, including Intelligent Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Emergency Braking. Additionally, first-in-class technologies like the Intelligent Rear-View Mirror with a high-resolution display and Intelligent Moving Object Detection enhance visibility and situational awareness.

Priced from RM113,800, the Kicks e-Power is available in two variants—VL and VLT—with optional two-tone colour schemes. Early bird incentives for the first 1,000 customers are a RM5,000 rebate and a 10-year EV component warranty.

ETCM CEO Khoo Cheng Pah said the company is focused on delivering advanced mobility solutions and exceptional service as part of Nissan’s broader electrification strategy in Malaysia.

The Kicks e-Power sets the stage for additional e-POWER and EV models in the coming years.
