Nissan has launched the Navara Pro plug-in hybrid pickup in the Philippines, priced from 2,448,000 pesos (around RM158,000) for the VL 4×4 variant.

    The better-equipped LE 4×4 costs 2,648,000 pesos (RM170,400). Both prices reflect a 50,000-peso (RM3,200) introductory discount running until Dec 31, 2026.

An Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP) test recorded up to 1,150 km of driving on a full tank and charged battery.

The pickup has a 67-litre fuel tank and a 20.24 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery, which provides a claimed electric-only range of 75 km under the NEDC cycle.

Its plug-in hybrid system combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 143 PS and 220 Nm with an electric motor rated at 212 PS and 350 Nm. A four-speed dedicated hybrid transmission handles power delivery.

Four-wheel-drive hardware includes selectable 2H, Auto, 4H and 4L modes. Ground clearance is 232 mm, wading depth is 700 mm and maximum towing capacity is 3,500 kg.

Both variants feature a 14.6-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated and ventilated driver’s seat, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) outlets.

The LE adds a 12-speaker Focal 5.1 audio system, electronic rear differential lock, powered tonneau cover and retractable running boards. The VL has a six-speaker audio system.

The launch package includes a home wall charger and three years of MyNissan Connect services.

Developed and manufactured in China, the Navara Pro PHEV is also scheduled for Australia in 2027, although that market will receive a different hybrid powertrain.

Nissan also launched the all-electric Primera executive saloon in the Philippines, reviving a nameplate last used in 2008. Priced at 1,999,000 pesos (around RM128,600) after a 100,000-peso (RM6,400) introductory discount, it has a 58 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and an electric motor producing 218 PS and 305 Nm.

The Primera offers a claimed range of up to 500 km, while DC fast charging from 10% to 80% takes about 19 minutes under compatible conditions. Equipment includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen, panoramic glass roof and heated, ventilated and massaging front seats.

    Primera BEV.
