Portugal score, Deepal lends out a car. Not forever, and not to the player who scored it.
The Changan-owned brand is running a China showroom campaign that will give one winner the use of a Deepal vehicle for a year for every Portugal goal at the 2026 World Cup.
The campaign was listed on Deepal’s official China news page and promoted through its verified Weibo account. The offer runs from the World Cup opening match at 3am on June 12 until Portugal’s final match of the tournament.
As is often the case, one needs to read the fine print. This is not a free-car giveaway in the usual sense. The prize is a one-year vehicle-use right, so it is closer to a 12-month car loan than a new set of keys with your name on the registration card.
Customers in mainland China can enter by visiting an authorised Deepal showroom, test-driving any model and submitting valid personal details. Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan are excluded.
Deepal has not named the exact prize model. The brand sits under Changan’s new-energy vehicle business, with a line-up that includes battery-electric and range-extender EVs.
The football tie-in follows Changan’s wider partnership with the Portuguese Football Federation. In May, Changan Europe said it had become the official global partner of Portugal’s national team.
For Deepal, this is part football promo, part showroom traffic play. If Portugal go deep and keep scoring, someone at Deepal may be watching the scoreboard rather nervously.
