Perodua has shown the C2 concept at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026, giving Malaysians a fresh look at where its electric vehicle programme is heading.

Also called Chapter 2, the B-segment prototype follows the earlier EM-O concept but takes a cleaner and more distinct design route. Perodua says the car was shaped by its younger Malaysian designers, with inspiration drawn from the next generation of car buyers.

Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the C2 continues the company’s electric vehicle (EV) storyline and builds on its “made by Malaysians for the world” direction.

Beyond the show-car styling, the C2 previews a more connected Perodua ownership experience. It has artificial intelligence (AI)-based driving assistance features covering real-time navigation, charging station information, traffic updates, assisted parking and stronger anti-theft functions.

The prototype also brings Perodua’s P-Circle super app deeper into the car. The app is being pitched as an ownership tool, with functions ranging from a secure e-wallet to priority delivery of genuine parts.

Zainal said the C2 would serve as a basis for Perodua’s future EV, with public feedback from the show to be used in shaping the eventual product.

At Perodua’s KLIMS 2026 booth, visitors can also check out P-Circle displays, interactive robots and drones.
