ALERT: The Alfa Romeo brand made a comeback on Jan 29, 2026 with the launch of the Giulia Veloce and Stelvio Veloce. The Giulia Veloce comes in at RM440,077.50 (on-the-road without insurance), and the Stelvio Veloce retails at RM490,138.00. Both models are fully imported from Italy. These cars are on display at the new Alfa Romeo 3S facility in Kuala Lumpur.

The return of Alfa Romeo is delighting its fans, and this time the Italian marque is talking increasingly about volts as well as velocity, in step with global trends towards electrification.
Even before the first showroom opens, the brand is already pointing Malaysians towards its electrified future, name-checking the Tonale plug-in hybrid and fully electric Junior as part of its longer-term plan.
In the metal, however, the comeback will start with something more familiar but hardly mundane.
The facelifted Giulia sports saloon and Stelvio SUV, both in Veloce trim, will spearhead the relaunch under new distributor DLSB Partners Sdn Bhd.
Bookings are open ahead of their debut, marking Alfa’s first official presence in Malaysia since its previous franchise ended in 2013.
Both models arrive with the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, delivering about 280hp and 400Nm through an eight-speed ZF gearbox.
The Giulia drives its rear wheels, while the Stelvio uses Q4 all-wheel drive; each sprints from 0–100kph in around 5.7 seconds.
Styling updates include matrix 3+3 LED headlights, revised tail-lamps and classic teledial alloy wheels, underscoring Alfa’s pitch that these are driver’s cars first, status symbols second.
Inside, both share an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system and those signature long aluminium shift paddles mounted on the column.
A suite of driver aids brings adaptive cruise, lane-keeping, blind-spot monitoring and traffic sign recognition to bring them in line with current premium rivals.
Alfa Romeo Malaysia’s physical home will be Casa Alfa Romeo, a flagship 3S centre at TREC Kuala Lumpur, backed by planned outlets in Penang and Johor.
The facilities are pitched as lifestyle hubs rather than just places to sign paperwork. A “Famiglia Alfa Romeo” programme promises support for both new and classic Alfas, with factory-trained technicians, genuine parts and roadside assistance.
To rebuild the brand’s emotional pull, the distributor is organising events such as “La Bella Vita” lifestyle experiences, “Speed Dating” track sessions and an “Alfa Concierge” personal assistance service.
For long-suffering Alfisti, the message is this: the badge is back, the engines are still alive, and the next wave will plug straight into Alfa Romeo’s electric era.
