ALERT: The iCaur V23 launch is set for Nov 27.
The iCaur V23 will soon join the 03 to offer Malaysians an expanded choice in electric off-road SUVs.
Set for a Q4 2025 launch, the V23 is estimated at RM145,000 for the 2WD and RM155,000 for the AWD.
Bookings open today as iCaur Malaysia previewed the model in right-hand drive at Starhill mall, Kuala Lumpur, following its first appearance at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025.
Targeted at the C-segment, the V23 blends compact dimensions with a purposeful stance: 4,220mm long, 1,915mm wide and 1,845mm high, on a 2,735mm wheelbase.
The square-profile body sits on 19-inch wheels with 255/55 R19 tyres for the 2WD, or 21-inch wheels with 265/45 R21 tyres for the AWD.
Two powertrains are offered.
The rear-drive 2WD uses a single motor (136PS, 180Nm) with a 59.9 kWh LFP battery, good for a claimed 401km range on the NEDC cycle (340km, WLTP).
The iWD dual-motor AWD delivers a combined 211PS and 292Nm from an 81.8kWh NMC battery, with up to 501 km (NEDC but 425km on WLTP). The 0–100kph sprint takes 11.0 seconds (2WD) or 7.5 seconds (iWD); both are limited to 140kph.
Charging supports up to 85kW DC (2WD) or 104 kW DC (iWD), while AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW. A 3.3kW vehicle-to-load function allows external power for appliances — useful for camping and weekend duties.
Underneath, MacPherson struts in front and a multi-link rear aim to balance comfort with control.
Inside, the V23 mixes retro touches with modern tech, including rotary console knobs, a high-roof cabin for headroom and visibility, and a full-HD 540-degree Transparent Chassis Camera.
Safety features include a Level 2 ADAS suite with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and autonomous emergency braking.
iCaur plans up to 18 points of sale and nine fully fledged service centres nationwide in 2025, including Sabah and Sarawak.
The V23 public showcase runs from today until Nov 2 (10am-10pm) at Starhill Piazza, with skateboarding demos, dance performances and the V23 iFUN social contest offering merchandise and prizes.

iCaur is a Chery sub-brand, and has already started selling the V23 in Thailand as the Chery V23, also in two trims.
Note that there’s a high-performance version of the V23. Called Super V23 EV, it recently made history by setting a Guinness World Record for the fastest sand dune climb over 400 metres in a mass-produced EV, completing the feat in just 2 minutes 38.34 seconds.
It remains to be seen whether iCaur Malaysia would bring in the Super V23 EV at a later time.
