Maserati has a new custodian in Malaysia, with Atlantis Automobili Sdn Bhd taking over the Italian brand’s local sales and aftersales operations following Naza Italia’s exit.
Atlantis Automobili, an associate company of Atlantis Motor Group, was appointed Maserati’s official Malaysian importer and distributor effective May 19, 2026.
Its remit also covers the marque’s dealer network, customer relations and local brand activities.
Existing Maserati owners remain a priority during the changeover. Atlantis said aftersales and customer support will continue, with dedicated channels available for enquiries and updates.
The company is also preparing investment in the Malaysian business. New facilities and customer programmes are among the areas due to be detailed later, while Maserati said future products will be introduced to the local market. No models or launch timetable have been announced.
That leaves the timing of Maserati’s next electrified models in Malaysia open for now.
Maserati Asia-Pacific head Julie Taieb-Doutriaux said Malaysia remains an important part of the company’s regional business and that Atlantis’ appointment supports its longer-term plans for the market.
Atlantis Automobili executive director Datuk Douglas Cheng said the immediate task is to look after existing customers while building the local operation for the longer term.
The change follows Naza Italia’s decision in December 2025 to end its Maserati distributorship.
Maserati Malaysia’s official Instagram account has since identified Atlantis Automobili as its official importer and distributor and announced that its Kuala Lumpur operation is open.
