BMW Malaysia announced the launch of the new iX1 eDrive20 M Sport today, augmenting its all-electric vehicle range that already includes the higher-spec iX1 xDrive30 M Sport that was introduced in May 2023.
The base iX1 is priced from RM249,800, or RM264,000 with the 5-year extended warranty and service package.
The iX1 eDrive20 M Sport is now available for booking at authorised dealers across the country.
Sporting the M Sport package, the iX1 features a modern, sporty exterior including an updated enclosed kidney grille with an X-shaped design, full-LED wrap-around front lights, and L-shaped taillights.
The cabin boasts the BMW Curved Display, which includes a high-resolution 10.25-inch instrument display and a 10.7-inch control display, all integrated into the BMW Live Cockpit Professional powered by the latest BMW Operating System 9.
Under the hood, the iX1 eDrive20 M Sport is equipped with a front-axle electrically excited synchronous motor and a 64.8kWh battery.
This setup enables the compact Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) to produce up to 150kW/204hp and 250Nm of peak torque with overboost, reaching a top speed of 170kph and accelerating from 0 to 100kph in 8.6 seconds.
The battery allows a range of up to 475km on a single charge under the WLTP cycle.
The vehicle supports 11kW AC charging and up to 130kW DC fast charging. A 10-minute DC charge can provide around 120km of range, enhancing convenience for both city and inter-city travels.
