Omoda will unveil a new crossover called the Omoda X on Oct 20 at its International User Summit in Wuhu, China.
The model is being positioned as a more rugged addition to the brand’s range, combining sports-car-inspired proportions with a raised stance and off-road cues.
Teaser material showed sharper geometric surfacing and an evolution of Omoda’s “Mecha” design language.
Omoda has yet to release dimensions, platform details, performance figures or market launch timing. More importantly for electrified-car buyers, the company has not disclosed the Omoda X powertrain.
There is currently no verified confirmation that it will be a battery-electric vehicle, plug-in hybrid or full hybrid.
Omoda & Jaecoo said separately that its wider product strategy includes SHS plug-in and full-hybrid systems alongside expanded BEV deployment, but it has not linked any of those technologies specifically to the X.
The Omoda X will make its global debut on Oct 20 during Omoda X Night, part of the brand’s International User Summit in Wuhu (Oct 18–24). Full technical details are expected at the unveiling.
