KLIMS 2026 closed with 205,440 visitors over its 10-day run at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, giving Malaysia’s biggest motor show a busy return after weeks of new-car launches, concept previews and future-mobility talk.
The 11th Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show was organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association and managed by Qube Integrated Malaysia. Held under the “Beyond Mobility” theme, the event spread across seven halls at Mitec and brought together car brands, motorcycle players, exhibitors, car clubs, creators and live performers.
The car list was broad. Dongfeng, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jetour, Kia, Maxus, Mazda, MG, Nissan, Perodua, Proton, Proton e.MAS, smart, Toyota, Wuling, Xpeng and Zeekr were among the main automotive names at the show. AFAZ and Suzuki represented the motorcycle side.
Electrified models carried much of the attention. Proton showed the CKD e.MAS 5 and the e.MAS 7 Premium Plus, while MG brought the ZS Hybrid+ and Cyberster. Jetour used the show to launch the T2 i-DM plug-in hybrid SUV and G700 SUV, while Mazda added the CX-60 mild hybrid to its local line-up.
Honda gave visitors a look at the Prelude hybrid coupe, a nameplate that still has enough emotional pull to stop people mid-walk.
Hyundai also went big on performance, showing the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N while marking the local arrival of its N brand. It also launched the family-focused Stargazer.
Concepts and previews did a lot of the heavy lifting. Perodua unveiled the C2 Concept, an EV sedan prototype pointing to the brand’s next phase, alongside the QV-E G+ Edition preview. Toyota showed an electrified Corolla concept, while Proton brought its FutureMotion hybrid powertrain to the floor.
Foreign brands gave KLIMS some of its more unusual showpieces.
Xpeng displayed the X2 flying car. Dongfeng previewed the Voyah Dream MPV, the 008 EV SUV and M-Hero II plug-in hybrid off-roader.
Zeekr showed the 9X SUV and 009 Grand MPV, while Kia brought the EV4, EV5, PV5 and K4. GWM displayed the Ora 5 HEV and Haval Raptor, while Nissan showed the facelifted X-Trail e-Power.
KLIMS was not only about static displays. The “Experience The Drive” programme and Urban Play obstacle course gave visitors a chance to try vehicles and mobility tech more directly.
Car club gatherings, a modified car battle, race car simulator challenge and remote-control car experience kept the enthusiast crowd busy.
KLIMS also had more going on beyond the cars this year.
KLIMS worked with RIUH for a bazaar featuring local creative entrepreneurs and communities, while the entertainment line-up included Ella, Anuar Zain, Lah Ahmad, FUGO and Kyoto Protocol.
A total of RM125,000 in lucky draw prizes was offered. The grand prize, a Perodua Bezza AV, went to Foo Yan Ling.
MAA president Mohd Shamsor Mohd Zain said KLIMS had grown beyond a vehicle display into a wider mobility event, while Qube executive chairman Richard Teo said the 2026 edition combined automotive launches, public engagement and lifestyle content under one roof.
