Hyundai Motor joins the tomfoolery this April 1 with the announcement of its Mobilet – a fictional mobility solution designed for those urgent restroom emergencies.
The campaign, a cheeky nod to humanity’s most basic needs, saw Hyundai blending humour with innovation in a playful celebration of “Progress for Humanity”.
Mobilet featured a host of tongue-in-cheek technologies, including dynamic facial recognition for immediate entry, an aroma air diffuser to banish unpleasant odours, and even a stealth mode to keep your bathroom break discreet.
Using generative AI to craft amusing visuals and animated content, Hyundai shared the prank across Instagram, X, and Facebook, captivating audiences with its blend of wit and whimsy.
Global chief marketing officer Sungwon Jee said the campaign was meant to entertain while underscoring the importance of innovative mobility solutions for everyday life.
Rather than simply pulling a fast one on consumers, Hyundai cleverly tied the absurdity of Mobilet back to its commitment to addressing genuine human needs with creativity and empathy.
The lighthearted initiative not only sparked laughter but also highlighted the company’s dedication to pushing boundaries in mobility.
