Volvo Malaysia has finalised its 2026 lineup, and there’s plenty to take note of.

The refreshed XC60 now has official pricing, a more affordable EC40 Single Motor variant has been introduced, and the XC90 gets a subtle new colour option.

The XC60, still assembled locally, comes in two variants: the B5 AWD Core priced at RM328,888 and the T8 AWD Ultra at RM362,888 (on-the-road, excluding insurance).

These prices are a bit lower than what was initially expected in September but slightly higher than last year’s models.

The biggest upgrades are inside the cabin — the old 9-inch screen makes way for a larger, sharper 11.2-inch portrait touchscreen powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform. It’s a definite step up in responsiveness and usability.

For the T8, the battery size has been increased to 19 kWh, giving it an electric-only range of up to 89 km according to WLTP standards.

The familiar 180kph speed limiter remains in place, a safety feature Volvo continues to emphasise.

EC40

One of the more exciting additions is the EC40 Single Motor version, priced attractively at RM248,888.

The rear-wheel drive vehicle is RM40,000 cheaper than the two-motor variant, making it a more accessible option for those who want an electric Volvo without the premium price tag.

Under the hood, it packs 175 kW of power and the same 70 kWh battery that provides an estimated 488km of range.

It also supports fast charging, reaching 80% battery in just about 26 minutes. This model hits a sweet spot for buyers who value efficiency and style more than all-wheel drive or blistering acceleration.

XC90 in Aurora Silver.

At the top end, the XC90 isn’t seeing any major changes mechanically but now offers a new Aurora Silver paint option. It remains available in B5 mild hybrid and T8 plug-in hybrid trims, a solid choice for families seeking space and comfort with a bit of Scandinavian flair.

In short, Volvo Malaysia is going for balance in 2026.

The XC60 finally gets the tech it needs to stay sharp in a crowded midsize field.

The EC40 Single Motor lowers the price of entry to electric motoring without stripping the essentials.

And the XC90 keeps doing what families buy it for: space, comfort and a bit of Scandinavian polish.

Adding even more excitement to the line-up is the all-new ES90, which would be introduced as a locally assembled model in early 2026 following its regional debut in Thailand.
