Dongfeng Malaysia has added three larger electrified models to its KLIMS 2026 stand, giving visitors a look at the 008 SUV, MHero II off-roader and Voyah Dream MPV.
Dongfeng’s plan to show the three models had been signalled as early as April, but the actual physical preview took place as the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) moved into its final stretch. KLIMS 2026 runs from June 12 to 21.
In keeping with the idea of model previews, Dongfeng has not announced Malaysian pricing, launch timing or final local specifications. The models on display are left-hand drive units and are based on China-market specs.
The 008 is a large battery-electric SUV. The car shown at KLIMS is a six-seater, with second-row captain chairs. China-market figures list a 200 kW rear motor, 340 Nm of torque and an 82.28 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The claimed range is 636 km on the China CLTC cycle.
The MHero II takes a more extreme route. It is a big plug-in hybrid off-road SUV using a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and dual electric motors. China-market output is listed at 687 PS and 848 Nm, with up to 215 km of electric-only range and 1,365 km of combined range, also on the CLTC cycle.
It also brings intelligent all-wheel drive, multiple terrain modes and a claimed 900 mm wading depth.
The Voyah Dream is Dongfeng’s premium MPV play. The KLIMS unit is a plug-in hybrid version, which in China uses an 800V electrical architecture, a 62.5 kWh battery and claims up to 350 km of electric-only range.
In Malaysia, Dongfeng already sells the Box, Vigo and 007. These three previews suggest a broader ambition: bigger vehicles, higher prices and a stronger push into premium electrified segments.
