Alpine will give the next-generation A110 its first public outing at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, but do not expect a showroom-ready car just yet.
What visitors will see from July 9-12 is a development mule — a test car used to prove the hardware and software for the future A110 EV.
It will run up the Goodwood hill each day, giving the public an early look at the direction Alpine is taking after the current petrol A110 bows out.
The third-generation A110 will sit on the new Alpine Performance Platform, or APP, a dedicated electric architecture developed for the brand’s performance models.
Alpine calls the coming A110 “the world’s first true EV sportscar” and claims it will stay faithful to the lightweight A110 character while outperforming today’s best combustion sports cars.
Electric sports cars already exist, and the phrase “true EV sportscar” depends heavily on how strictly one defines sports car.
The proof will come from weight, feel, battery packaging, steering response and how long it can keep its pace up, not just from a Goodwood demo run.
The A110 mule will be joined by other A110 models as Alpine uses Goodwood to mark the car’s shift from rally-bred icon to electric future.
A special “Alpine Moment” is planned for July 9, during the Brand Parade, with the mule appearing alongside earlier A110 models and the V8-powered E20 Formula One car.
Alpine will also show its current electric line-up, including the A290 hot hatch and A390 five-seat sport fastback.
The A390 is rated at 470hp, while the A290 has become Alpine’s best-selling electric model.
The brand’s Formula One presence will be hard to miss too. Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto will headline a driver line-up that also includes Alpine Academy and reserve drivers Nina Gademan, Paul Aron and Alex Dunne.
