JomCharge is introducing Night Saver, an off-peak discount plan that trims DC charging bills for EV drivers who plug in after midnight, when stations are quieter.
The offer starts on Dec 20 and applies at JomCharge-owned DC chargers nationwide, including those in Sabah and Sarawak.
Charge between 12am and 7am and the app applies a 15% discount automatically, with no promo code required. Users need to activate and pay for the session through the JomCharge app.
JomCharge is also running a limited launch promotion, offering 50% off at selected locations over the weekend. At Sri Hartamas on Dec 20, drivers who charge can also redeem a nasi lemak meal (see below), a tasty perk, although late-night, high-fat food is bad for your health.
JomCharge Elite members get a further 10% off on top of the Night Saver rate, stacking with the 15% off-peak discount for DC charging overnight. Elite costs RM9.90 a month, and the first month is free.
JomCharge said the Night Saver scheme, the first of its kind in Malaysia, aims to encourage charging when demand is lower.
