All smart electric car owners, take note. smart Malaysia has introduced smartCare, an aftersales service program designed to ensure the roadworthiness of all its vehicles.
The program covers a range of services and features aimed at enhancing the premium ownership experience and maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.
The smartCare programme lists eight highlights that it strives to achieve: exceptional digital experience; reliable battery management and aftersales service that includes live high voltage (HV) battery monitoring; aftersales digital services via the hello smart app; local HV battery repair partner, warehouse and logistic partner; service outlet facility with HV battery rooms, EV chargers at all smart outlets, qualified EV technicians; and body & paint facilities.
A unique aspect of the smartCare ecosystem is the live high voltage battery monitoring system. The service watches over real-time battery health alerts in smart vehicles, aiming to ensure safety and reliability by notifying smart Central for prompt action. The Hello smart App allows owners to book services, access guidelines, and get emergency assistance.
smart Malaysia said smartCare’s partnership with local HV battery repair services enables efficient, eco-friendly repairs, reducing downtime and environmental impact. Trained EV experts in Malaysia, backed by smart Central in China, provide aftersales support, it added.
Smart Malaysia works with a logistics partner to ensure quick availability of over 10,000 parts. HV battery rooms ensure safe battery storage and tasks. The brand also offers body & paint facilities in Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang for various repair services. All 10 outlets have AC and DC chargers.
CEO Zhang Qiang said smartCare role in providing exceptional aftersales service, combining advanced technology, environmental responsibility, and customer care.
The smartCare Customer Day event, scheduled for June 22, 2024, in Ipoh and Alor Setar, will offer technical insights and hands-on demonstrations to help owners maintain their vehicles.
smartCare offers an all-inclusive premium ownership experience with warranties on high-voltage batteries, components, vehicles, and spare parts, plus 24/7 roadside assistance.
It currently sells only the smart #1, but the smart #3 will be coming next month, and is open for bookings. As with the #1, the #3 will also be available in three versions.
The #1 is offered as the Pro, Premium, and Brabus, priced at RM169,000, RM209,000, and RM249,000 respectively.
