GMC has introduced the 2027 Hummer EV Icon 25, a limited-run edition finished in a yellow inspired by the H2 SUV. It will be offered as both a pickup and SUV in 2X and 3X forms.
The paint, called Icon Yellow, is paired with a Jet Black cabin, black front approach shield and new 22-inch wheels with a Deep Void finish.
Each vehicle also receives a numbered badge on the passenger side of the instrument panel, heritage-themed drive-mode graphics and a commemorative keepsake. The SUV adds a yellow insert for its rear-mounted spare-wheel cover.
GMC chose the 2026 ESPYS (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) in New York as the venue for the model’s public introduction, tying the launch to its role as the event’s official vehicle sponsor.
The special edition arrives alongside broader changes for the 2027 Hummer EV range. Every pickup and SUV will gain a built-in North American Charging Standard port, removing the need for an adaptor at compatible NACS chargers.
Vehicle-to-home power remains available when the Hummer is connected to GM’s PowerShift charger and supporting home hardware. The system can supply an appropriately equipped house during an outage, although output and duration depend on battery charge and other conditions.
Five new colours join the range: Icon Yellow, Dark Ridge, Azurite Blue, Dark Ember and Deep Void Matte. GMC will also offer two additional 22-inch wheel designs.
The Hummer EV retains four-wheel steering with CrabWalk and King Crab modes, adaptive air suspension and Extract Mode. The latter can raise the body by about 152mm to improve clearance at low speeds. Equipment includes Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance, removable roof panels and as many as 18 camera views on the pickup.
At the top of the range, the 2027 Hummer EV 3X Pickup with the optional 24-module battery is rated at up to 1,160hp.
GMC also quotes 17,625Nm at the wheels rather than at the motors. Its claimed 0-60mph time is 2.8 seconds and is intended for closed-course use.
Production is due to begin later in 2026 at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Michigan. Sales will be limited to the US and Canada, with availability expected in early 2027. Pricing has not been announced.
GMC describes the edition as marking 25 years of Hummer. That anniversary reflects the H2-era expansion under GM; AM General had already begun selling civilian Hummers in 1992, before the name became a broader SUV brand.
