Proton’s first electric car, produced with the help of Geely, has achieved an impressive 2,500 bookings in less than a month since its launch.
Distributor Pro-NET, a Proton subsidiary, said the over 2,500 bookings it has received showed growing public interest in sustainable mobility and strong demand for the electric vehicle (EV).
The e.MAS 7 is fully imported from China, where it shares assembly with the Geely Galaxy E5, which it is closely related to.
As mentioned before, the e.MAS 7 comes in two variants: Prime and Premium, featuring 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh battery packs, respectively. With a WLTP range of up to 410km, the EV supports 11kW AC charging and DC fast charging up to 100kW. Prices start at RM109,800 for the Prime and RM123,800 for the Premium.
A special launch rebate of RM4,000 for the first 3,000 customers reduces the prices to RM105,800 and RM119,800.
“The enthusiasm Malaysians have shown for the e.MAS 7 highlights their readiness to embrace sustainable mobility,” said Pro-NET CEO Zhang Qiang. Pro-NET also distributes the smart product range.
He said the EV is a blend of innovation, practicality, and value, representing a significant advancement for Malaysia’s green automotive future.
The e.MAS 7 integrates modern features, including a dedicated EV charging map accessible through the Proton e.MAS App.
Bookings can be made at any of the 30 Proton e.MAS dealerships or through the app.
