Porsche Korea is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2024 with a unique limited-edition Taycan Turbo K-Edition with exterior and interior design elements inspired by Korean culture.
The model is available only in South Korea and limited to 50 units.
The special edition, developed in collaboration with the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Style Porsche design teams, highlights the customisation possibilities of Porsche’s Sonderwunsch programme.
The car’s design is rooted in Korean cultural symbols, featuring a unique logo inspired by a historical royal stamp and a special skyline graphic that represents key elements of Korean architecture and landscapes, including Seoul’s cityscape and the Baekdu-daegan mountain range.
The Taycan Turbo K-Edition is based on the 2024 model year Taycan, which offers enhanced performance with up to 650 kW (884 PS) and improved acceleration. The car can go from 0 to 100kph in just 2.7 seconds.
The exterior of the K-Edition is available in five distinct colours, each chosen to reflect different facets of Korean culture. The vehicle also features 21-inch alloy wheels in a unique colour combination of Turbonite and Satin Black.
Inside, the K-Edition offers a luxurious Olea club leather interior, available in two colour schemes depending on the exterior colour choice.
The seats feature a colour-blocking design with three-coloured strips, and the interior is further enhanced by hand-stitched cross-stitching in Atacama Beige, a process that requires precise craftsmanship.
Additional unique interior touches include an embossed Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur logo and a Turbonite badge with the Taycan K-Edition logo on the center console.
Porsche Korea has been operating since 2006, and the Taycan, introduced in 2020, has quickly become one of the company’s best-selling models in the country.
In 2023, Porsche delivered 10,501 cars in South Korea, with the Taycan accounting for 1,805 of those sales, making it the second best-seller after the Cayenne.
“The concept of the Taycan Turbo K-Edition is to lend a visible expression to the close connection between Porsche DNA and Korean society and culture,” said Porsche Korea CEO Holger Gerrmann.
“At the same time, some exterior and interior details highlight, for example, the extensive and high-quality customisations that are possible through the Sonderwunsch programme.”
