Porsche has unveiled the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and Panamera GTS, marking the launch of the top series versions in their Panamera lineup.
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, positioned as the most powerful, fastest, and luxurious variant, combines luxurious driving with racetrack-level performance, redefining the luxury saloon segment.
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is powered by an upgraded 4.0-litre biturbo V8 engine paired with an electric motor.
The system output is 575 kW (782 PS) with a system torque of 1,000 Nm, a significant increase from its predecessor. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 2.9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 325kph, enhanced by Porsche’s dual-clutch transmission (PDK).
The hybrid powertrain of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid offers improved efficiency, a greater electric range, faster charging, and more agile responsiveness. The high-voltage battery has a capacity of 25.9 kWh, providing an electric range of up to 88km (WLTP EAER City). The battery can be fully charged in about two hours and 39 minutes using the 11 kW on-board AC charger.
Distinctive design elements underscore the Turbo model’s performance, with a unique rear bumper, chrome-plated tailpipes in Dark Bronze, and exclusive Turbonite metallic grey accents. The interior features Turbonite trim, suede-like Race-Tex upholstery, and advanced technology, including the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system.
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid set a record lap time of 7:24.172 minutes at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, driven by Porsche test driver Lars Kern. This achievement highlights the model’s keen performance capabilities.
The comprehensive equipment range includes Porsche Active Ride suspension, rear-axle steering, and a Bose sound system. The vehicle’s chassis features innovative technology to optimise traction and minimise body movements during dynamic driving.
The Panamera GTS, another addition to the lineup, focuses on purism and agility, with a chassis tuned for high performance.
Its 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine delivers 368 kW (500 PS), enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 302kph. The GTS model features a sporty design with distinctive black GTS logos, dark-tinted headlights and tail lights, and red brake callipers.
Both versions are now available for order, with deliveries in Germany starting in autumn 2024.
The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and GTS benefit from new features in the third-generation Panamera, including enhanced connectivity, HD matrix LED lights, and advanced driver experience control.
