Local OEM MCE Holdings Berhad and its subsidiaries will supply Perodua’s first electric car with various electronic and mechatronic parts.
The contract , worth RM19.6 million, involves supplying the automaker with multimedia display units, instrument panel clusters, advanced driver-assistance system, functional switches, interior lightings and other parts.
This contract is valid for three years and will start in the second quarter of MCE’s financial year ending July 31, 2026. This is MCE’s first foray into the growing electric vehicle segment.
MCE group managing director Dr Goh Kar Chun said the company aims to scale the value chain in the long run to deliver higher-value and technologically sophisticated products to its customers.
MCE is setting up the MCE Auto Hub in Serendah to tap new demand in both local and overseas markets, said Goh.
