Resorts World Genting has added Denza D9 electric MPVs to its guest shuttle fleet, giving the BYD Group premium brand a visible hospitality use case in Malaysia.
Denza Sime Motors confirmed on its official social channels that it is supporting Resorts World Genting in introducing the Denza D9 Premium AWD for EV shuttle service operations. The three vehicles presented would be used to transport guests between Genting Grand and Crockfords, two of the resort’s premium properties.
For Resorts World Genting, the D9 makes sense as a hotel shuttle. It is quiet, roomy and suited to short loops between premium properties. For Denza, the gain is visibility: it puts the vehicle in front of the right crowd in a setting that suits the brand.
The D9 is sold in Malaysia by Denza Sime Motors and comes in two versions: the entry-level Advanced FWD and Premium AWD. The MPV has a 3,110 mm wheelbase, 520 km WLTC range, 150 km of range from a 10-minute charge and a 6.9-second 0-100kph time.
Denza Malaysia lists an 800 V high-voltage platform, 600 km NEDC range and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) external discharge of up to 6 kW. Cabin features include captain seats, an integrated fridge and a Dynaudio audio system, depending on specification.
The D9 also gets a useful showcase after its February 2025 launch. Luxury electric MPVs remain niche in Malaysia, but resort shuttle work suits the format: quiet trips, short routes and passengers who would appreciate the extra space.
The D9 Premium AWD was priced at RM309,000 (selling price only) for 2025 units. Newly imported 2026 units are listed at RM355,000 following the end of CBU EV import and excise duty exemptions, with EV road tax of RM485 a year applying from 2026.
