Geely’s premium EV marque Zeekr has introduced the 7X in Malaysia, a five-seat SUV offered in three trims: RWD Standard (RM179,800), RWD Long Range (RM190,800) and AWD Performance (RM226,800).
The model arrives about four months after its local preview and enters a crowded mid-size EV SUV field that includes the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7.
The 7X runs an 800V electrical architecture and two battery chemistries. The Standard variant pairs a 75kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) pack with a single rear motor, while Long Range and Performance models use a 100kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery.
WLTP-rated ranges are roughly 480km (Standard), up to 610km (Long Range) and about 543km (Performance).
Charging supports up to 22kW AC and DC fast charging: Zeekr quotes 10–80% in about 10.5 minutes for the Standard and roughly 16 minutes for the Long Range and Performance when using 420–450kW chargers.
Two powertrains are available. Rear-drive versions produce 310kW and 440Nm for a 0–100kph time of around 6.0 seconds. The dual-motor AWD Performance lifts outputs to 475kW and 710Nm, cutting the sprint to a claimed 3.8 seconds.
Exterior cues include frameless doors, flush handles, full-LED lighting and a panoramic glass roof with an integrated sunshade. The Performance variant adds adaptive air suspension with Continuous Damping Control, standard 20-inch (optional 21-inch) wheels and an exclusive “Stargate” front light signature. Paint choices comprise Crystal White, Onyx Black, Tech Grey and Forest Green, with a two-tone Brook Blue with Silver roof reserved for the flagship.
Inside, the 7X features a 13.02-inch driver display and a 16-inch infotainment screen powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8295. Equipment starts with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, powered front seats (14-way driver, 10-way passenger) and a 10-speaker audio system.
The Long Range and Performance add a 36.21-inch augmented-reality head-up display, a 21-speaker sound system, dual 50W wireless chargers, ventilated and massage front seats and an electrically adjustable steering column.
Rear passengers get power recline (up to 10 degrees), while an 8-litre console fridge heats or cools between –15°C and 50°C. Practicality is bolstered by a 539-litre boot (1,978 litres seats folded), a 62-litre frunk and under-seat storage. Nappa leather upholstery and powered rear-side sunshades are fitted to the Performance.
Active safety and driver assistance are supported by 12 HD cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors and a millimetre-wave radar, enabling adaptive cruise with lane centring, lane keeping, indicator-triggered lane changes, AEB, blind-spot monitoring, front/rear cross-traffic alerts, autonomous parking, a 360-degree camera with “transparent chassis” view and a sentry mode.
All Malaysian units include a five-year/150,000km vehicle warranty, an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty and one year of connected services covering navigation and OTA updates. Launch customers receive a 22kW home wallbox and window tinting, with a portable charger included per the introductory offer.
