Jaguar’s Type 00 has surfaced with what looks to be a teaser of the prototype cabin, offering a small but telling glimpse inside the brand’s coming electric GT rather than a full interior reveal.
The latest look comes via lifestyle and culture website Sidewalk Hustle, where founder and creative director Tristan Banning drove the camouflaged four-door prototype and shared early impressions.
The cabin teaser mainly shows the steering wheel and driver area, with much of the dashboard still covered and hidden from view.
Even so, it adds another layer to Jaguar’s slow drip-feed around the car that is set to carry the Type 00 design direction into production form.
According to Sidewalk Hustle, this prototype is the first real indication of where the reinvented Jaguar brand is heading.
Under the skin, the numbers are already serious. The new electric GT uses a tri-motor setup producing more than 1,000PS and over 1,300Nm, with near-instant torque vectoring, air suspension and active dampers.
Yet Banning’s account on his website suggests Jaguar is not chasing brute force alone. The more revealing part is the way the car reportedly delivers its pace, building speed in a smooth, controlled manner rather than with any sense of drama for its own sake.
That comes through in the drive impression. Sidewalk Hustle said the prototype reaches 100kph quickly, but that is not what defines it. More striking is how it keeps gathering speed once moving.
At one stage, the car reportedly touched 225kph, with such ease that the pace felt almost understated. That’s in keeping with Jaguar’s long-standing idea of performance delivered with polish.
Outside, even beneath camouflage, the shape is already clear.
Sidewalk Hustle highlighted the long bonnet, low roofline and 23-inch wheels, while linking the new GT to Jaguar’s Spirit of Jaguar Drive programme, which revisited older models including the XK120, E-Type V12 and XJ-C V12 to reconnect with the marque’s core character.
Jaguar is due to fully reveal the production car in September 2026, with orders expected shortly after and first deliveries slated for early 2027.
