JomCharge has partnered with Alliance Bank to launch Malaysia’s first virtual credit card (VCC) dedicated to electric vehicle (EV) charging.
EV owners can apply for the Alliance Bank VCC through the JomCharge app, and each approved applicant will receive RM100 in JomCharge credits.
The VCC offers a 20 per cent rebate on all charging sessions at over 3,000 JomCharge points nationwide and grants eight times Timeless Bonus Points on every JomCharge charging transaction paid with the card.
The fully digital VCC eliminates the need for a physical card, enabling users to manage and monitor charging expenses directly within the JomCharge app. Cardholders will benefit from real-time tracking of transactions and streamlined payment processes.
EV Connection managing director Lee Yuen How said the collaboration marks a milestone for Malaysia’s EV ecosystem, offering greater convenience and exclusive benefits.
Alliance Bank’s Group chief consumer banking officer Gan Pai Li said the bank aims to provide value-added services to customers and support environmentally friendly initiatives by encouraging EV adoption with seamless payment solutions.
The Alliance Bank VCC for JomCharge is available exclusively via the JomCharge app.
EV users who apply will immediately receive their RM100 credit reward, which can be used on any JomCharge charging session.
The 20 per cent rebate applies to all charging stations listed in the JomCharge network, making ownership more economical. Additionally, the eightfold Timeless Bonus Points boost rewards for frequent users.
